Royal Challengers Bengaluru will host the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 10th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season on March 29 (Friday).
The match will be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru and will commence at 7:30 PM IST. Both teams are coming off a win in their previous encounter but the only difference is RCB have played an extra game already.
They have won and lost a game each so far having lost the season opener to CSK before beating Punjab Kings at home. On the other hand, KKR were involved in a high-scoring game against SRH at home and managed to win the thriller by four runs.
These two teams have played a lot of thrilling matches against each other and another one such encounter is in the offing now.
Today’s match prediction is what follows in this article with analysis of both teams in action:
RCB will be relieved to have got their first points on the board against Punjab Kings. The 177-run chase wasn’t easy for them as it went down to last over but Kohli’s early start and Dinesh Karthik’ calm and cool demeanour helped them get over the line.
The team is full of superstars and the likes of Glenn Maxwell, Faf du Plessis and Cameron Green are yet to click in two matches. A lot will be expected of them not only in this game but also in the upcoming matches.
Well, India sleeps well if Virat Kohli is in form. The same has to be said about RCB as Kohli’s 77-run knock kept them in the hunt throughout the chase against PBKS.
The former skipper looked in sublime touch throughout despite playing competitive matches after a gap of two months. Kohli would certainly want to continue in the same vein and win more matches for RCB.

Yash Dayal’s life changed after KKR batter Rinku Singh smashed him more than 30 runs a couple of seasons ago. The same Yash Dayal is on the way to redeem himself and once again, KKR and Rinku Singh are in his way.
He bowled superbly in the last game returning with figures of 1/23 in four overs and has so far plucked two wickets in as many matches. A good outing against KKR especially at the death will do a lot of good to confidence for the entire season.

Good old days are back at KKR with Gautam Gambhir returning to the team (as mentor), Sunil Narine back to opening the innings and Andre Russell clicking in the very first match of the season.
But their death bowling has to improve at any cost and consistency is what the team will be hoping for from their players like skipper Shreyas Iyer, Phil Salt while all eyes will be on Mitchell Starc again as he faces off Kohli.
Phil Salt opened the innings and looked in very good hitting form against SRH. He was off the blocks right from the word go and at one stage, it seemed as if he will convert the start into a big score. Nevertheless, he still managed to score 54 runs off 40 deliveries with three fours and as many sixes to his name.
Salt is known to play at a higher strike-rate all the time and if he gets going in Bengaluru, the English batter will be unstoppable.
Top Batter Stats - Recent Matches
Varun Chakaravarthy enjoys immense success against RCB it seems. He picked up seven wickets last season in two matches picking up a four and three-wicket haul strangling the RCB batters with his variations.
The mystery spinner will be again itching to repeat his heroics and another such wicket-taking spell might just seal the deal for KKR in this encounter. However, Chakaravarthy endured a tough outing against SRH conceding 55 runs for a wicket in four overs.

The aforementioned cricket betting tips will help you in predicting the player of the match award winner. Yash Dayal, the way he bowled in the last game, might just pick those wickets at crucial junctures in the match and make a winning impact for RCB.
Our toss prediction for the match between RCB and KKR is that the team winning the toss will opt to bowl first. Chinnaswamy is a very difficult venue to defend a total and despite being in trouble for the most parts, RCB managed to chase down 177 runs in the last game.
This is the second match at the Chinnaswamy stadium in five days in the ongoing IPL. Expect no changes in pitch and the conditions. But the spinners and bowlers with variations can trouble the batters.
Even though the average score in WPL was 166, the par score in IPL might be around 180-190. The cricket betting odds will be in balance to start with even as the weather is clear with no chances of rain at all.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru are expected to win this match and register their second win in a row. KKR certainly have the wood over RCB historically but they might not be able to come to the terms on the day and eventually fall short.
