Manish Khorgade brings a wealth of knowledge in cricket and stats to the world of cricket betting. He was hooked on cricket as a 9-year-old back in 1992 during the ODI World Cup. Those iconic semi-finals watched along with his father left an indelible mark on him. He hasn't left cricket since. Or, more appropriately, it's the other way around.

About 13 years into the IT industry, he decided to shift base and follow cricket, wherever it might take him. Manish started with content writing for various publications. He, along with his friends, created GameOfStats - a statistics portal for fantasy sports enthusiasts - helping them create stats-based fantasy teams. He is currently a jack of all things and master of a few on this very portal - cricket-betting.com.

Being a stats expert, he spends time understanding the odds provided by the sportsbooks for various markets. He is astounded by how very little has been done when it comes to using cricket stats in predicting the outcome of an event. He aspires to change that.

Manish loves it when an underdog wins the game. He doesn’t have any favourite cricketers. Only the ones that inspire him more than others. He considers MS Dhoni to be the closest to a perfect sportsman - Brains, Brawn and Nerves. He also thinks Ben Stokes is a superstar and that Ravindra Jadeja should have some fielding drills named after him.

Manish wishes to visit major sports venues across the world. Until then he is busy talking, writing, analyzing, and debating all things cricket.

India Preview

The hosts India have truly been sensational and are on the verge of delivering the most dominant World Cup campaign ever. They have been mostly unchallenged throughout the Cricket World Cup 2023 as they win 10 games on the trot.

They needed to overcome New Zealand in the semifinals and they did it by 70 runs in front of a packed Wankhede Stadium.

Rohit Sharma pushed the opponents on the back foot pretty early with 47 off just 29 balls before Shubman Gill scored 80 off 66. Virat Kohli continued his glorious form and registered the record 50th ODI century. Shreyas Iyer blasted 105 off 70 to power the total to 397.

The home side had some moments of panic when Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell were going strong but Mohammed Shami delivered yet again. He returned the record figures of 7 for 57 as he single-handedly won the game with the ball.

India Lineup
Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj

Virat Kohli to be the top batter for India in this game as per our cricket match prediction. There's not much to argue against Kohli being the greatest batter in the history of ODI cricket.

He has amassed 711 runs in the ongoing tournament at an average of 101.57 while striking at over 90. Kohli has hit three hundreds and five fifties in the WC 2023, including 117 in the semi final.

Australia had a rocky start to the tournament with two losses but have then won eight games on the trot. In the semi final, they defeated South Africa by three wickets in what was a low-scoring thriller at Eden Gardens.

South Africa won the toss and opted to bat first but Australian pacers had them reduced to 4 for 24 in 12 overs. In the end Australia managed to bowl out the Proteas to 212, with Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins taking three wickets each while Josh Hazlewood and Travis Head bagging two scalps each.

Travis Head and David Warner got them off to a flying start with 60 in six overs but then lost wickets at regular intervals. Head struck 62 off 48 while Steve Smith made 30 runs. Josh Inglis added a crucial 28 before Starc and Cummins finished the tense run-chase.

IND Vs AUS - Who Will Be The Player Of The Match?

Mohammed Shami to be the player of the match. The cricket betting odds have Shami as one of the top contenders. He has been in magnificent form and enjoys bowling at the Ahmedabad ground.

Shami has snared three five-wicket hauls and a four-for in the tournament. Expect him to trouble the Aussie batters in this game.

IND Vs AUS - Who Will Win Today's Toss?

It is a general tendency of teams to bat first in the knockout matches. Batting without the scoreboard pressure is usually easier than chasing. There is also the factor of the ball moving more under the lights.

India batted first in the semifinal whereas Australia also wanted to bat first in their match. Our best toss prediction is that India will win the toss and bat first.

IND Vs AUS Venue, Pitch and Weather Report

Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad has hosted 30 men's ODIs, with the average first innings score reading 243. The team batting first and second has won 15 matches each. The highest total recorded here was 365/2 by South Africa.

The pitch at the Ahmedabad stadium for this game is likely to offer good balance between bat and ball. Batters can get big scores here if they get through the initial phase. Seamers should get assistance with the new ball, and even more so in the second innings under lights.

As for the weather forecast, Ahmedabad is likely to be sunny and clear on Sunday. The should be no cloud cover nor any rain threat during the match. The temperature is expected range between 26 to 34 degree Celsius, with wind gusts blowing at 17 kmph.

IND Vs AUS Match Winner Prediction

Our cricket match prediction is that India will come out victorious in this Cricket World Cup 2023 final. The head to head record between these two sides in the previous 10 games is tied at 5-5.

Australia have been in good form and have a strong side. However, India are stronger with almost an impenetrable bowling attack and a more a reliable batting unit.
