Manish Khorgade brings a wealth of knowledge in cricket and stats to the world of cricket betting. He was hooked on cricket as a 9-year-old back in 1992 during the ODI World Cup. Those iconic semi-finals watched along with his father left an indelible mark on him. He hasn't left cricket since. Or, more appropriately, it's the other way around.
About 13 years into the IT industry, he decided to shift base and follow cricket, wherever it might take him. Manish started with content writing for various publications. He, along with his friends, created GameOfStats - a statistics portal for fantasy sports enthusiasts - helping them create stats-based fantasy teams. He is currently a jack of all things and master of a few on this very portal - cricket-betting.com.
Being a stats expert, he spends time understanding the odds provided by the sportsbooks for various markets. He is astounded by how very little has been done when it comes to using cricket stats in predicting the outcome of an event. He aspires to change that.
Manish loves it when an underdog wins the game. He doesn’t have any favourite cricketers. Only the ones that inspire him more than others. He considers MS Dhoni to be the closest to a perfect sportsman - Brains, Brawn and Nerves. He also thinks Ben Stokes is a superstar and that Ravindra Jadeja should have some fielding drills named after him.
Manish wishes to visit major sports venues across the world. Until then he is busy talking, writing, analyzing, and debating all things cricket.
The 58th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be played between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru on May 9 (Thursday). The match is scheduled to take place at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala and will commence at 7:30 PM IST. This is a do or die clash for both teams to stay in the hunt for the playoffs.
PBKS lost their previous game at this venue to Chennai Super Kings as they couldn’t chase down 168 runs. On the other hand, RCB are on a roll at the moment having won three consecutive matches and will be keen on continuing the winning run in order to stay alive in IPL 2024.
The cricket match prediction segment follows next with analysis of both teams in action:
Punjab Kings botched up the gettable 168-run chase against CSK and are in more than a spot of bother now. They cannot afford to lose even a single game now and even then, they will have to depend on other results to go their way.
Jonny Bairstow, Prabhsimran Singh and Rilee Rossouw will have to go big now while the bowling attack has done well with Harshal Patel and Rahul Chahar returning to best in the last two matches.
Such has been the state of PBKS’ batting line-up this season that Shashank Singh is the leading run-scorer for them. He has scored 315 runs in 11 innings at an average of 63 and a strike rate of 165.78.
Shashank has remained unbeaten on six occasions which shows he has done superbly in IPL 2024. Batting at four, he will have to make sure to bat through at a good pace to keep his side in the hunt.

Harshal Patel returned with the figures of 3/23 in his four overs against CSK to get back into the purple cap race. He is the joint-leading wicket-taker of the season now with Jasprit Bumrah.
He has picked up 17 wickets so far at a strike rate of only 13 and is in excellent form this season. His death bowling has to replicate similar numbers yet again if PBKS are to restrict RCB.

RCB have found their mojo finally but it’s a little too late it seems. Nevertheless, they are still alive in the tournament having won their last three matches. The bowling attack comprising Mohammed Siraj, Yash Dayal and Karn Sharma has done well consistently well.
Meanwhile, the batter Faf du Plessis, Will Jacks have done well to lend support to Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik. RCB would be hoping for another perfect outing as they are coming off a stunning win over Gujarat Titans and climb up from seventh place in the points table.
Virat Kohli is the orange cap holder at the moment in IPL 2024. He has amassed 542 runs so far in 11 innings at an average of 67.75 and a strike rate of 148.08 with four fifties and a century to his name.
The man has opened the innings and given his best for RCB this season but will have to take onus of doing well with the bat yet again if RCB are to stay alive.

Today’s cricket betting tips are enough for the cricket fans to pick the player of the match award winner correctly for the PBKS vs RCB clash in Dharamsala.
Virat Kohli played a match-winning knock of 77 runs against Punjab earlier this season and is also the orange cap holder with 542 runs. He is expected to play another brilliant knock and take away the award.
Our cricket toss prediction for the crucial face-off between PBKS and RCB is that the team winning the toss will bowl first. The previous one was an afternoon game but in evening, the ball is expected to come better under the lights with dew also playing its part.
This is the second and final game at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala in IPL 2024. The last game saw CSK defending 167 runs but it was played in afternoon. The new ball is expected to swing under the lights but overall, it should be a good deck to bat on.
A score around 180-190 could be par at this venue. The cricket odds will be in balance to start with while the weather is expected to be pleasant with temperatures around 20-22 Degrees Celsius. There is also a little chance of rain clouds hovering over the venue.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru are expected to win this match against Punjab Kings and win their fourth match in a row. Clearly, RCB have the momentum with them and confidence too and having beaten PBKS early in the season makes them the favourites for this clash.
