Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi will lock horns in Match 6 of the Pakistan Super League on February 21 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Both teams have played one match each in the tournament and are yet to flap their wings in the tournament. Karachi Kings lost to Multan Sultans, while Peshawar Zalmi lost to Quetta Gladiators by a narrow margin.
In the Pakistan Super League 2024, Karachi Kings began their campaign with a match against Multan Sultans, which they lost by 55 runs.
Batting first, half-centuries from Reeza Hendricks and Dawid Malan steered the Sultans to 185/2 batting first. In response, the Kings’ batters never got going and were restricted to only 130 runs.
As per our cricket betting tips, veteran Shoaib Malik continues to shine in the PSL and his half-century was the only positive for Karachi Kings in their opening match.
Malik dominated the bowlers and blazed his way to 53 off 35 balls, which included five fours and two sixes. However, in an attempt to up the ante further, he fell prey to Abbas Afridi.

The Karachi Kings will be heavily reliant on their senior pro Hasan Ali, who is the second-leading wicket-taker in the history of Pakistan Super League.
Although he didn’t get going in the match against Multan Sultans, Ali has 94 wickets to his credit in this tournament and has always proven himself as a major force in the bowling attack.

Peshawar Zalmi, on the other hand, faced Quetta Gladiators in their first match of the season, which resulted in a loss for them as well. Peshawar Zalmi showed glimpses of their strength in the run chase, but fell short by 16 runs courtesy of a terrific finish from the Multan bowlers.
Babar Azam and company will be looking to work on their bowling performance in this match, which led to their downfall in the opening match.
Tom Kolher-Cadmore got off to a good start against the Gladiators but didn’t go on to make the most of it. However, in PSL 2023, Tom Kohler-Cadmore starred for Zalmi against Kings, scoring half-centuries in both home and away fixtures.
He scored 148 runs in these two matches at a strike-rate above 150. This includes a terrific 92 off 50 balls in Match 2 of PSL 2023, which included seven fours and six sixes.

Salman Irshad has troubled batters with his pace ever since he made his entry into the Pakistan Super League. Irshad was lethal with the ball in the previous match despite going for a few runs in the first spell.
He returned in the death overs to first dismiss the well-set Jason Roy followed by the wickets of Sherfane Rutherford and Mohammad Wasim Jr in the final over. His 3/38 was one of the few positives for Zalmi from the opening match.

Babar Azam has made it a habit of scoring big runs in the Pakistan Super League and he was off to a top start against Quetta Gladiators. He put up a fabulous opening stand alongside Saim Ayub and got Zalmi nearly to a victory.
Azam scored 68 off 42 deliveries at a strike-rate of 161.90, which included four fours and four sixes. He will be eager to add more runs to the tally against his former team and the cricket odds are in his favour to come up with a big performance.
As per today's toss prediction, teams should opt to bat first after winning the toss. Peshawar Zalmi are well packed in their bowling attack as well and if they are made to bowl first, they might not entirely mind that decision.
The pitch at the venue in Lahore is expected to be a top-class one for the batters. Although fast bowlers will get some zip off the surface, there is a very good chance we might witness another high-scoring contest with both teams scoring in excess of 180.
There is no chance of rain for the time being in Lahore but the weather will be a bit cloudy with the temperatures ranging around 24 degrees Celsius. The humidity will be in the high 70s, very typical of a Pakistani summer and it won’t get easy for the players, especially for the overseas ones.
If you are confused who will win today's match, the team batting first has a great chance. Both teams failed to chase big targets in their opening match but Zalmi put up a good performance with the bat as well, making them the favourite to take this contest home.
