The Eliminator 2 of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be played between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi on March 16 (Saturday). The clash is set to take place at the National Stadium in Karachi and will commence at 9:30 PM IST with toss at 9 PM. The two teams are facing each other for the third time this season and have won a game each.
Peshawar Zalmi lost to Multan Sultans in the qualifier encounter as they couldn’t post a formidable total. On the other hand, Islamabad United got the better of Quetta Gladiators winning by 39 runs in the first eliminator. Both teams have played some excellent cricket this season and this is the last chance for them to make it to the final.
The cricket betting predictions continue for PSL 2024 matches with detailed analysis of both teams in action.
Peshawar Zalmi endured a bad day at the office in the qualifier and are now up against Islamabad United who are on a roll at the moment. But Babar Azam and his men are getting another shot at the final as they were more consistent throughout the season. The Zalmi will be keen on making amends from the previous game and set the finals’ date with the Multan Sultans.
Babar Azam’s strike-rate was once again the talking point in the last outing. But he was the best batter for Peshawar scoring 46 runs off 42 balls on a slow pitch. Being the highest run-scorer of the season so far, Babar will have to step up and also accelerate accordingly with this being the last chance of making it to the final of the season.

Luke Wood might not have picked any wicket in the last game. But he has been one bowler who has been consistent with his line and lengths for Peshawar. His left-arm angle also brings the variation in the bowling attack and the powerplay overs will be crucial. Wood’s new-ball spell is expected to make the difference yet again.
Top Bowler Stats - Recent Matches
Islamabad United have the momentum with them having won their last three matches of the season. Moreover, they defeated Peshawar Zalmi in the previous face-off too and have the momentum with them at the moment. The Shadab Khan-led side will be confident of coming up trumps in this crunch encounter against the in-form Peshawar Zalmi side.
Cricket is certainly a game of confidence and Martin Guptill can just carry on with the same after scoring a brilliant half-century in the last encounter.
Opening the innings, he held one end to score 56 runs off 47 balls with five fours and a six to make sure his side posted a competitive total on the board. Guptill will be important for Islamabad yet again in the second eliminator.
Top Batter Stats - Recent Matches
Imad Wasim was the best bowler for Islamabad United in the first eliminator picking up three wickets for just 12 runs. He opened the bowling attack and nipped out key wickets upfront much to the delight of the Islamabad fans.
Once again, he will be crucial to their fortunes especially bowling at Babar Azam who has been in great form this season. Imad will have to pick wickets early on for Islamabad to have an upper hand in this game.

The aforementioned expert cricket betting tips will definitely help you in predicting the player of the match award winner. It is tough to predict the winner of second eliminator at the moment but it is very likely that Babar Azam will win it.
The toss prediction for his PSL 2024 match between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi is that the team that wins the toss will opt to bat first. Chasing has continued to be tough in Karachi and the trend should continue.
The pitch at the National Stadium in Karachi has been on the slower side and tough to score runs on. Clearly, batting first is the option with score around 160-170 being par. The odds for cricket betting will be in balance to start with even as the weather is expected to be fair for the duration of the match.
Peshawar Zalmi are expected to win this match and seal their place in the final of PSL 2024. Islamabad United are on a winning run of three matches but in crunch game, they might just lose the steam and get knocked out.
