Manish Khorgade brings a wealth of knowledge in cricket and stats to the world of cricket betting. He was hooked on cricket as a 9-year-old back in 1992 during the ODI World Cup. Those iconic semi-finals watched along with his father left an indelible mark on him. He hasn't left cricket since. Or, more appropriately, it's the other way around.

About 13 years into the IT industry, he decided to shift base and follow cricket, wherever it might take him. Manish started with content writing for various publications. He, along with his friends, created GameOfStats - a statistics portal for fantasy sports enthusiasts - helping them create stats-based fantasy teams. He is currently a jack of all things and master of a few on this very portal - cricket-betting.com.

Being a stats expert, he spends time understanding the odds provided by the sportsbooks for various markets. He is astounded by how very little has been done when it comes to using cricket stats in predicting the outcome of an event. He aspires to change that.

Manish loves it when an underdog wins the game. He doesn’t have any favourite cricketers. Only the ones that inspire him more than others. He considers MS Dhoni to be the closest to a perfect sportsman - Brains, Brawn and Nerves. He also thinks Ben Stokes is a superstar and that Ravindra Jadeja should have some fielding drills named after him.

Manish wishes to visit major sports venues across the world. Until then he is busy talking, writing, analyzing, and debating all things cricket.

NZ Vs PAK Match Prediction

NZ Vs PAK Key Stats

  • New Zealand and Pakistan have played 38 matches against each other in T20Is. The Kiwis have won 17 out of them while Pakistan have emerged victorious in 20 matches. However, New Zealand have won the last six T20Is against Pakistan.
  • New Zealand are leading the five-match series 4-0 after their win in the penultimate match of the series.
  • Finn Allen scored a record-shattering 137 in the third T20I of the series with five fours and 16 sixes to his name. Southee and Milne returned with figures of 4/25 and 4/33 earlier in the series respectively.
  • New Zealand won the last T20I against Pakistan chasing down the total with 11 balls and seven wickets in hand. Pakistan could only post 158 runs batting first despite Mohammad Rizwan’s unbeaten 90-run knock.

NZ Vs PAK Match Preview

New Zealand and Pakistan will face each other for one final time in the series on January 21 at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch, the same venue that hosted the fourth T20I.

The Kiwis are on the cusp of a special whitewash having won all the previous four matches so far. On the other hand, Pakistan would be eager to end their tough tour on a high.

But it will not be easy for them at all. They batted first in the fourth T20I but nothing changed as poor performances continued. They are desperate for team performance as individual brilliances haven’t worked for them at all. Will they be able to turn it around in the last T20I?

Who will win today’s match? We will answer this question in this article next:

New Zealand Preview

Injuries and COVID issues have not had any impact on New Zealand’s performances in the series. On all occasions, different players have stepped up for them with the latest being Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips who helped the Kiwis recover from 20/3 in the 159-run chase in the last game.

The BlackCaps will be looking forward to whitewashing Pakistan by winning the fifth and final T20I of the series.

New Zealand Lineup
Finn Allen, Rachin Ravindra, Tim Seifert, Will Young, Glenn Phillips, Mark Chapman, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Matt Henry, Tim Southee, Lockie Ferguson

New Zealand - Who Will Be The Best Batter?

Daryl Mitchell has been one of the most consistent batters across all the formats for New Zealand. He smashed an unbeaten 72 off 44 balls in the last game with seven fours and two sixes.

Overall, he has scored 158 runs in four matches of the series with two half-centuries to his name. Mitchell would want to help the Kiwis win the series 5-0 with yet another brilliant knock.

New Zealand - Who Will Be The Best Bowler?

The pitch for the fourth match at the Hagley Oval was on the slower side and Mitchell Santner returned with figures of 0/23. On another day, he would’ve picked up at least a couple of wickets with his tight line and length.

With the match set to be played at the same venue, Santner will be the threat for the visitors and may end up picking up a few wickets with the ball.

Pakistan Preview

Pakistan have not won anything since November 4. They have now lost eight consecutive international matches and will be desperate to return to winning ways soon. But a team effort is needed for them as Rizwan’s 90 and Shaheen’s three-fer couldn’t help them win the match in the last T20I.

Can they turn it around in the last match? It might look tough but not impossible if they play their best cricket.

Pakistan Lineup
Mohammad Rizwan, Haseebullah Khan, Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Sahibzada Farhan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, Shaheen Afridi, Usama Mir, Abbas Afridi, Zaman Khan

Pakistan - Who Will Be The Best Batter?

Babar Azam has to be that man yet again. He scored only 19 runs off 11 balls in the last game but prior to that, the former Pakistan captain had smashed three consecutive fifties.

Babar clicking is almost imperative for Pakistan to have any chance of making it 1-4 and his brilliant form has to continue for them to avoid the 5-0 embarrassment.

Pakistan - Who Will Be The Best Bowler?

Shaheen Afridi finally returned to his best in the last game with the ball. He led from the front picking up three wickets in the first two overs of his spell but he needs to inspire his teammates as well to support him.

Shaheen will have to pick wickets yet again in the fifth and final T20I and lead from the front for Pakistan to turn their fortunes around.

NZ Vs PAK - Who Will Be The Player Of The Match?

The aforementioned cricket betting tips will help you in determining the Player of the Match award winner for the fifth T20I. New Zealand are yet again the favourites to make it 5-0 in the series and one of their players probably Mitchell or Santner will win it.

NZ Vs PAK - Who Will Win Today's Toss?

Our toss prediction for the fifth T20I between New Zealand and Pakistan is that the team winning the toss will opt to bowl first. New Zealand managed to chase down 159 and batting also got a bit easy. Moreover, this is a day game and there might be something on the pitch for fast bowlers up front.

NZ Vs PAK Venue, Pitch and Weather Report

Hagley Oval in Christchurch is set to host the second consecutive T20I match. The average first innings score of around 160 needs to be more as New Zealand showed in the last game. The cricket odds will be in favour of the Kiwis again while the weather is expected to be cloudy throughout the match.

NZ Vs PAK Match Winner Prediction

We are expecting New Zealand to win the fifth and final T20I as well as whitewash Pakistan in the five-match series. The visitors might come hard at them to avoid the embarrassment but New Zealand have been too good in this series.
