Betting Odds Expert

Manish Khorgade brings a wealth of knowledge in cricket and stats to the world of cricket betting. He was hooked on cricket as a 9-year-old back in 1992 during the ODI World Cup. Those iconic semi-finals watched along with his father left an indelible mark on him. He hasn't left cricket since. Or, more appropriately, it's the other way around.

About 13 years into the IT industry, he decided to shift base and follow cricket, wherever it might take him. Manish started with content writing for various publications. He, along with his friends, created GameOfStats - a statistics portal for fantasy sports enthusiasts - helping them create stats-based fantasy teams. He is currently a jack of all things and master of a few on this very portal - cricket-betting.com.

Being a stats expert, he spends time understanding the odds provided by the sportsbooks for various markets. He is astounded by how very little has been done when it comes to using cricket stats in predicting the outcome of an event. He aspires to change that.

Manish loves it when an underdog wins the game. He doesn’t have any favourite cricketers. Only the ones that inspire him more than others. He considers MS Dhoni to be the closest to a perfect sportsman - Brains, Brawn and Nerves. He also thinks Ben Stokes is a superstar and that Ravindra Jadeja should have some fielding drills named after him.

Manish wishes to visit major sports venues across the world. Until then he is busy talking, writing, analyzing, and debating all things cricket.

NZ Vs AUS Match Preview

The second and final Test match between New Zealand and Australia is set to commence on March 8 (Friday). The match will be played at the Hagley Oval in Chrischurch and will commence at 3:30 PM IST. The visitors are already leading the series 1-0 and will be keen on making it 2-0 in the series.

Moreover, New Zealand are troubled with injuries to Devon Conway and William O’Rourke who are unlikely to be available for the second Test too. It will be a tough job for them to go past Australia but expect them to come hard at the opposition to keep their proud home record intact.

New Zealand Preview

New Zealand were literally blown away in the first Test at the Basin Reserve in Wellington. Much to everyone’s surprise, the surface assisted spin and Nathan Lyon rolled the hosts comfortably with ten-fer.

Nevertheless, the hosts, led by Tim Southee, will be itching to get on the field and level the series. However, they will be wary of Australia’s strengths and plan accordingly to make sure they don’t lose the series.

New Zealand - Who Will Be The Best Batter?

Kane Williamson has to be the man to dictate terms for New Zealand in this Test. He couldn’t in the series opener and the Kiwis struggled immensely not going past 200-run mark in both innings.

The former New Zealand captain needs to find a way to score runs the way he did against South Africa prior to this series.

New Zealand - Who Will Be The Best Bowler?

Matt Henry is the best bet with the red cherry for the home side like he was in the first Test. The man returned with a total of eight wickets including a five-fer in the first innings.

He can make things happen with the ball constantly bowling in probing areas and will look more to his 86-wicket tally in the longest format of the game. A lot will depend on how Henry delivers his first spell especially if New Zealand bowl first in Christchurch.

Australia Preview

The World Test Champions Australia were simply superb in the first Test. But their batting still seems brittle in testing conditions. It was Cameron Green’s brilliant 174* that bailed them out in the previous game but in both innings, they collapsed. The visitors have a great chance to win their first Test in New Zealand since 2016 and continue their dominance in the Kiwi nation.

Australia Lineup
Steven Smith, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Cameron Green, Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh, Alex Carey, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood

Australia - Who Will Be The Best Batter?

Cameron Green has revived his Test career with a record unbeaten 174 in the last Test that included a record 10th wicket partnership with Josh Hazlewood. The man has quality to become a permanent number four for the Aussies in the longest format.

But Green will know that he needs to be consistent now and score big even in second Test. If he does that, Australia will be well on their way to make it 2-0 in this series.

Australia - Who Will Be The Best Bowler?

Mitchell Starc loves to bowl against New Zealand with conditions being a lot helpful right from the word go. Searing yorkers at his pace are a nightmare for any opener and Starc’s spell upfront usually sets things up for the rest of the bowlers. The man has picked 354 wickets in 88 Test so far and deserves to pick up a few more in the next Test match.

NZ Vs AUS - Who Will Be The Player Of The Match?

The today's cricket betting tips will help you in determining the player of the match award winner for the second Test. It is tough to predict the favourites at the moment but Williamson and Starc are the likeliest candidate to win it.

NZ Vs AUS - Who Will Win Today's Toss?

Our cricket toss prediction for the second Test between Australia and New Zealand is that the team winning the toss will bowl first. The pitch is expected to have a greenish look to it which will induce the captains to opt to bowl after winning the toss.

NZ Vs AUS Venue, Pitch and Weather Report

In 13 Test matches played so far at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch, 291 has been the average first innings score. But eight Tests have been won by teams bowling first. The pitch has a lot of bounce in it and keeps batters and bowlers both interested right through.

However, to start with, the cricket odds will be in favour of Australia even as the weather is expected to be cloudy right through with no chance of rain.

NZ Vs AUS Match Winner Prediction

Again, it is very tough to predict the winner of the match. But the way Australia dominated New Zealand in the first Test, it is very much likely that the visitors will make it 2-0 in the series.
