The 16th match of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season is scheduled to take place between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators on February 29. This is only the second match of the season at the National Stadium in Karachi and will commence at 7:30 PM IST with toss taking place at 7 PM.
The Gladiators have shrugged off the disappointment of earlier seasons and have done well so far winning three out of four matches this season. On the other hand, the Karachi Kings went down in their opening game at home in PSL 2024 and have now lost and won two matches each so far.
Who will win today’s match? We will answer this question in this article next:
Karachi Kings have not played their best cricket so far in PSL this year. They have featured in four matches and have won half of their matches only languishing at the fifth place in the points table.
With matches expected to come thick and fast now, they can ill afford mistakes and should start winning matches regularly to make it to the playoffs.
Kieron Pollard has had to bail the team out of trouble on multiple occasions this season. He needs to click every time to take to the Kings to the safety and it is again imperative that he bats well in this game against the Gladiators.
Pollard has so far scored 183 runs and has only been dismissed once in four innings. His strike-rate of almost 165 is among the best in top batters of season.

Mir Hamza is one of the best bowlers Karachi Kings possesses in their line-up. He has played all four matches of the season thus far picking up six wickets at an average of 19 and a strike-rate of 14.
Hamza’s spell will be extremely crucial for the Karachi Kings as he will be up against the likes of Jason Roy with the new ball. A lot will depend on his opening spell in this encounter.

Quetta Gladiators are coming into this game on the back of a 13-run loss at the hands of Multan Sultans. However, alarm bells aren’t ringing yet for them thanks to the stunning start with three wins on the trot under Rilee Rossouw’s captaincy.
However, the Gladiators will be aware that things can go out of hands quickly. For the same reason, they will be looking to return to winning ways soon.
Responsibility of being vice-captain has rubbed on Saud Shakeel quite brilliantly it seems. He has scored 140 runs so far in four matches and a strike-rate of 157.3 is what has impressed many in his batting.
The left-hander has turned out to be a surprise package as he is labelled as a proper Test cricketer generally. But Shakeel’s emergence has given hope for Quetta and a lot will be expected of him in this game.

Abrar Ahmed’s spin has created havoc in the opposition batting lineups this season. His mystery spin has earned him seven wickets in four matches thus far and the tally is expected to increase in this match as well. Abrar has picked wickets at an average of 17.42 and a strike-rate of 14.25. His economy of less than 7.5 is one of the best this season so far.

The aforementioned cricket betting tips will help you in predicting the player of the match award winner for this match. It is tough to predict the winner of the match but it seems Shakeel is the likeliest candidate to put up a match-winning effort.
Our toss prediction for the 16th match of PSL 2024 between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators is that the team winning the toss will bowl first. Conditions are different for both teams in this match and they would be keen on not batting first.
Karachi Kings will be playing their second consecutive match here at the venue in two days. The pitch is expected to be a decent one to bat on and scores around 200 should be scored and chased down to start with. The cricket odds will be in balance to start with even as the weather should be clear for the duration of match with no chance of rain.
Quetta Gladiators, going by their current form, should be able to win this match despite the fact that Karachi are playing at their home ground. The Kings will fight till the end no doubt but Quetta are likely to pip them in this encounter.
