Manish Khorgade brings a wealth of knowledge in cricket and stats to the world of cricket betting. He was hooked on cricket as a 9-year-old back in 1992 during the ODI World Cup. Those iconic semi-finals watched along with his father left an indelible mark on him. He hasn't left cricket since. Or, more appropriately, it's the other way around.
About 13 years into the IT industry, he decided to shift base and follow cricket, wherever it might take him. Manish started with content writing for various publications. He, along with his friends, created GameOfStats - a statistics portal for fantasy sports enthusiasts - helping them create stats-based fantasy teams. He is currently a jack of all things and master of a few on this very portal - cricket-betting.com.
Being a stats expert, he spends time understanding the odds provided by the sportsbooks for various markets. He is astounded by how very little has been done when it comes to using cricket stats in predicting the outcome of an event. He aspires to change that.
Manish loves it when an underdog wins the game. He doesn’t have any favourite cricketers. Only the ones that inspire him more than others. He considers MS Dhoni to be the closest to a perfect sportsman - Brains, Brawn and Nerves. He also thinks Ben Stokes is a superstar and that Ravindra Jadeja should have some fielding drills named after him.
Manish wishes to visit major sports venues across the world. Until then he is busy talking, writing, analyzing, and debating all things cricket.
West Indies tour of Australia is set to conclude with the third and final T20I of the series set to be played on February 13 (Tuesday).
The clash is set to take place at Perth Stadium in Perth and will commence at 1:30 PM IST. Australia have won the T20I series already and they will be keen on whitewashing West Indies just like they did in the ODIs.
Meanwhile, West Indies have been poor despite being the strongest in the shortest format of the game. They conceded a lot of runs in the first two matches and certainly bowling attack has been the culprit. The visitors will be hoping to turn things around at least in the last game and end the tour down under on a high.
Who will win today’s match? We will answer this question in this article next:
Australia have been excellent in the first two matches of the series. They have literally outbatted the West Indies thanks to special knocks from David Warner and Glenn Maxwell.
The latter was even more special in the last game slamming an unbeaten 120 runs off 55 balls. The bowlers have done their job too keeping the opposition batters quiet.
Mitchell Marsh will be gutted to have not scored more than 29 runs in the last game. He looked in good touch in just 12 balls he faced smashing three fours and two sixes but got out to Alzarri Joseph at the wrong time.
The skipper will be keen on making amends and go big in the final match of the series before embarking on the New Zealand tour.
Top Batter Stats - Recent Matches
Spencer Johnson returned with two wickets for 39 runs in his four overs in the second T20I. His pace is top notch all the time in the T20 format and in Perth, where the ball bounces a lot more, Johnson will be an exciting prospect to have for the hosts.
A lot will depend on how he bowls his four overs in the third and final T20I.
Top Bowler Stats - Recent Matches
West Indies will be extremely disappointed with the way they have played so far in this series. The batting has shown promise but targets have gone out of their range in both matches as they have lost by 11 and 34 runs respectively. Bowling has to improve at any cost for them to have any chance of winning the third T20I against Australia.
Nicholas Pooran has surprisingly been out of touch in this series. He is batting at a crucial number three position but he has not gone past 18 each in both innings after getting a good start. Before the end of the series, the left-hander will be itching to get going with the bat and smash big in Perth.
Top Batter Stats - Recent Matches
Alzarri Joseph was the most economical bowler in the second T20I for West Indies conceding only 31 runs in his four overs. He had picked up two wickets for 46 runs in the series opener.
He is one of the better bowlers the Caribbean side possesses and the team would be hoping for him to make the use of his pace and bounce in Perth.
Top Bowler Stats - Recent Matches
The aforementioned cricket betting tips will help you in determining the player of the match award winner for the second T20I. Australia are the favourites clearly and Mitchell Marsh is the likeliest candidate to win it.
Our toss prediction for the third T20I between Australia and West Indies is that the team winning the toss will bowl first. There will be something for the bowlers early on and teams would look to cash in on it in the powerplay overs.
Perth Stadium has hosted seven T20Is so far with five of them won by teams bowling first. 133 is the average first innings score here but England have recorded the highest total of 208 runs against Australia. The cricket odds will be in favour of the Aussies yet again while the weather will be perfect for the cricket match to take place.
Australia are expected to win the third and final T20I and seal the series 3-0. The hosts are the favourites but the Caribbeans will come hard at them in order to end the tour on a high. This will make the third T20I for an interesting viewing.
