As you can see above, Chennai has won 14 of the 22 meetings so far, so they have the upper hand. On top of this, they have dominated things recently. If you look back over the past four seasons, Chennai has won six of the eight games that have bee played, and they won both the meetings last season. That will, of course, give them confidence that they can win again when the teams meet in 2020.

There is also the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium to look at in these stats too, where Chennai will play most of their home games. These teams have met seven times at that stadium, and Chennai has won six of those meetings. With just one win in seven when travelling there, it will be very difficult for Rajasthan to feel good and confident about the game beforehand, giving Chennai a psychological advantage.
