Bangladesh is having a hard time on and off the pitch. They were the team to watch in the last T20 world cup after beating Australia and New Zealand in their home series but from the beginning of the T20 campaign, the Tigers lost their way and started performing very poorly. The poor performance continues in this series also. The Tigers already lost their first two T20 matches. So the Tigers will lack the confidence to go and perform well in the test matches against Pakistan and also their record against Pakistan in Test matches is also very bad.
Bangladesh has played eleven Test matches against Pakistan and they have won none of them. The most successful result for them is a Draw in 2015. In the last five matches between the two sides, Pakistan went on to win 4 of them.

According to their recent performances in Test matches against Bangladesh and other Test-playing countries, Pakistan will be the favorite to win this match. Pakistan has played seven test matches in 2021, winning five of them.
On the other hand, Bangladesh is dealing with injuries. The main man for them at the top order, Tamim Iqbal, is out from the series with an injury and the peak performer for the Tigers in any format and former number one all-rounder in test, Shakib Al Hasan, is also having problems with a hamstring injury. As a result, Pakistan will have the upper hand over Bangladesh in this match.
After trying various senior players Bangladesh appointed Mominul Haque as the Test captain and in 9 matches he has won two of them in which he has played an important role with the bat in hand. In absence of Tamim Iqbal most probably Saif Hassan and Shadman Islam will open the innings. Mushfiqur Rahim and Mominul Haque will be the key batsman in the middle-order.
On the other hand, the Pakistan team led by Babar Azam is making headlines and Babar is leading from the front scoring runs consistently. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Hasan Ali are doing well with the ball by getting wickets for their team. The inclusion of Fawad Alam in the middle orders has proved to be the best decision for the Pakistan team.
Babar Azam and Azhar Ali are the pillars for the Pakistan team in Test matches in the top order. Fawad Alam made a very impressive comeback to the team and is anchoring the innings at the middle-order along with Mohammad Rizwan. Hasan Ali and Shaheen Shah Afridi are their go-to bowler in test matches in any situation and they are helping the team by getting breakthroughs in crucial times. Nauman Ali is proving himself with his slow left-arm orthodox bowling.
Mominul Haque, the captain of Bangladesh is playing an important role in the team as a captain and also as the best batsman for his side in the test matches. The experienced senior players Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, and Shakib Al Hasan control the middle order for Bangladesh. Taijul Islam and Mehidy Hasan Miraj along with the vastly experienced Shakib Al Hasan are their main bowlers in the slow pitches of Bangladesh. Taskin Ahmed is the only pacer who has been among the wickets in the recent test matches for his side.
Babar Azam with the bat and Shaheen Shah Afridi with the bowl can be the game changers for Pakistan in this match.
And Mominul Haque can be the game-changer for Bangladesh with the bat. Taijul Islam can also trouble the batters as he has the most wickets against Pakistan.
Nauman Ali will be the most troublesome bowler against Bangladesh as the pitch will be spin-friendly and he has already taken 19 wickets in just 5 matches in 2021.
