New Zealand Women and Pakistan Women are all set to face each other in the second game of the three-match T20I series on Tuesday, December 5. The University Oval in Dunedin will host the contest.
It was a historic day for Pakistan, who beat New Zealand for the first time in Women’s T20Is and it took them 13 years to do so. Nida Dar and Co. now have the golden opportunity of securing a series win going into the second game. The White Ferns, on the other hand, would look to make amends.
New Zealand were not at their best in the opening game. Their batters faltered big time as the hosts could only manage to score 127 for the loss of six wickets. Skipper Sophie Devine scored 43 runs off 28 balls with five fours, but she hardly got support from the others. She also picked up two wickets, but again, the others failed to lend her any support.
Suzie Bates recently became only the second batter after Virat Kohli to score 4000 runs in T20Is. The veteran scored 28 runs off 30 balls with two fours in the series opener before Fatima Sana trapped her plumb in front.
As per our free cricket betting tips, Bates has a good chance of succeeding in the next game since he is generally someone who does not give her wicket away after a good start.

Sophie Devine has been stalwart for the White Ferns across formats. She was the pick of the bowlers for her team in the first game without a doubt after finishing with figures of 3-0-23-2.
She got the wickets of both the Pakistani openers, Muneeba Ali and Shawaal Zuldiqar. It will be interesting to see how Devine performs with New Zealand needing to win the next game.

Pakistan, led by Nida Dar, on the other hand, would be brimming with confidence after how they performed in the first game of the series. After being asked to chase down 128, the Women in Green romped home with 10 balls left in their innings. They will now look to build on their confidence and seal the fate of the series in the next game itself.
Shawaal Zulfiqar was excellent in the first game as she laid the platform for Pakistan’s run-chase. She was first involved in a partnership of 40 runs with Muneeba Ali after which she put on 51 runs along with Nida Dar.
The 18-year-old scored 41 runs off 42 balls with seven fours before Devine accounted for her wicket. As per betting odds, Zulfiqar is again expected to succeed.
Top Batter Stats - Recent Matches
Fatima Sana breathed fire in the first game after finishing with figures of 4-0-18-3. It was on the back of her spell that Pakistan were able to restrict the White Ferns. The fast bowler got the wickets of Bernadine Bezuidenhout, Suzie Bates and Kate Anderson to rock the opposition batting.
Top Bowler Stats - Recent Matches
Nida Dar was effective in the first game and played a crucial role in Pakistan’s win. She finished with figures of 4-0-19-1 after which she scored a quickfire 23 off 14 balls with one four and a six. She is definitely one of the strong contenders to win the Player of the Match award.
As per today's toss prediction, teams should not have second thoughts about fielding first after winning the toss. Out of 18 matches in Women’s T20s, 14 have been won by the chasing team. The match on Sunday was also won by the chasing team. Dunedin is a venue where defending scores is a tough task.
The University Oval in Dunedin has not been a high-scoring venue in Women’s T20 matches with the average score 132. The match on Sunday was a low-scoring one as well. Batting is not expected to be easy in the second match of the series.
There is no chance of rain for the time being in Dunedin on Tuesday, although clouds will be there throughout the duration of the game. Temperatures will be around 14 degrees Celsius.
As per today's match prediction, the team batting second has the best chance of winning the second game. One cannot rule Pakistan out given their performance in the opening match of the series. New Zealand, on the other hand, would be desperate to make sure that they draw level and keep themselves alive in the series.
