The 13th match of the ongoing Women’s Premier League (WPL) is set to be played on March 6 (Wednesday) between Gujarat Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore Women. With the Bengaluru leg concluding, the match is now set to take pace at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi and will commence at 7:30 PM IST.
This is a huge game for both teams with RCB looking to take one more step towards making it to the playoffs. As for the Gujarat Giants, this is like a do or die game having lost all their four matches so far.
Who will win today’s match? This question will be answered in this article with a detailed analysis of both teams:
Gujarat Giants continue to struggle in the WPL despite having some of the best players from the international circuit. Things are not coming together for them and it is not going to be easy to even go past RCB Women this time around. Beth Mooney and her girls will have to showcase immense skills to make sure they get on the board in this game and stay alive in the tournament.
Such has been the poor state of the Giants this season that no batter has accumulated more than 100 runs so far. Ash Gardner has looked class apart at times and the team will be hoping that she clicks big time in this game. She has scored 92 runs thus far at an average of 23 and a strike-rate of 112.19. Best of Gardner can shock RCB in this game.
Top Batter Stats - Recent Matches
Tanuja Kanwar has kept the batters guessing with her bowling this season. She is the top wicket-taker for them hands down with six scalps to her name. She has bowled 13 overs as well and is the most economical bowler for the team too conceding at a rate of only 7.3. Tanuja’s spell coupled with one more bowler coming good can make it Giants’ day against RCB.
Top Bowler Stats - Recent Matches
RCB Women returned to winning ways in the last game beating the UP Warriorz by 23 runs. It was a brilliant way for them to end the Bengaluru leg of the season. They are currently sitting at the third place with three wins from five matches and will be keen on continuing their winning momentum.
RCB skipper Smriti Mandhana is sitting on top of the most runs scored list of this season and is proudly owning the Orange Cap.
She played a brilliant knock of 80 runs off 50 balls in the previous game and has overall amassed 219 runs in five matches so far at a strike-rate of 154.23 and an average of 43.80. Yet another knock like this from her will more or less seal the game for the RCB.
Top Batter Stats - Recent Matches
Asha Sobhana, the leg spinner of RCB, continues to take giant strides towards the purple cap. She added two more wickets to her tally in the last game making it seven wickets this season in five matches at an impeccable average of 15.14. Sobhana also has a five-wicket haul to her name and can run through the opposition line-up with her variations.

The aforementioned cricket betting odds will certainly help you in predicting the player of the match award winner for this match between Gujarat Giants and RCB Women. No doubt RCB are the favourites to win this match and Smriti Mandhana or Ellyse Perry can win the award thanks to their form.
Our toss prediction for this match of WPL 2024 between RCB and GGT is that the team winning the toss will bowl first which is a trend in T20 cricket. The venue is known to be a featherbed for batters and it only gets better to bat on as the match progresses.
The Delhi leg has commenced in WPL 2024 and expect the pitch to be as flat as it can be like we witnessed at the World Cup last year. The 200-run mark can be regularly breached here with the pitch expected to be good for batting. The cricket betting tips will favour RCB to start with even as the weather is expected to be cool with no chance of rain.
RCB Women are expected to win this match rather comfortably despite the best effort from Gujarat Giants who are still struggling to find their mojo this season. At best, the Giants might take the game down the wire but RCB have enough firepower to withstand it and come up trumps.
